Tokenomics

The Oort ecosystem will be comprised of two tokens, $OORT and $OEP.
OORT will act as the governance token and have a supply of 3b, while OEP will act as in-game rewards with an unlimited supply.
Tokens
As of January 1, 2022 $OORT token is not available yet. Please do not interact with any fraudulent contracts claiming to be part of a launchpad IDO.
$OORT
$OORT will act as the governance + work token and provide the following utilities:
- Vote in the Oort DAO
- Buy or rent virtual land in the Oortverse
- Stake to breed new hero avatars
- Spend $OORT to access a variety of features in the Oort DeFi App and RPG game.
- 3rd-Party games can use $OORT as a reward to incentivize hero players to play the 3rd-party games.
Oort Energy Particle ($OEP)
The Oort Energy Particle ($OEP) is our in-game token with an unlimited supply.
Users play games to earn $OEP and use them to mint wearables, heroes, special rewards, etc. and have a unique burning mechanism, which will be announced post-TGE.
How to Earn $OEP?
Players can earn $OEP in two ways:
- Play the RPG and find loot, kill monsters, battle, etc.
- Volume contest in our Leasing App.
*Currently $OEP is not transferrable however a future update will make them fully transferable between players.
Revenue
Oort Digital will have a fully self-sustaining, in-ecosystem economy by utilizing the following:
- Transaction Fees (a % of which will be used for buybacks and burns of $OORT)
- Sale/rental of NFTs (a % of which will be used to sweep Oort Heroes floor)
- Sale/rental of Virtual Lands (a % of which will be used for virtual land development)
- Sale of physical products (a % of which will be used for marketing, giveaways, etc.)
